CIU Signs Cooperation Protocol with Palestine Polytechnic University

A protocol covering student and academic staff exchange programs as well as interfaculty cooperation was signed between Cyprus International University (CIU) and Palestine Polytechnic University. The protocol, implemented during the official visit of the Palestine Polytechnic University academic delegation to CIU, aims to enhance academic interaction between the two institutions.

During the meetings held within the framework of the visit program, opportunities for student and academic staff exchanges and interfaculty cooperation were discussed. The Palestine Polytechnic University delegation included Chairman of the Board of Trustees H.E. Mr. Ahmad Altamimi, Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Abusafa, Vice Rector Dr. Ayman Sultan, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Assist. Prof. Dr. Nour Qawameh, and Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Informatics Prof. Dr. Husam Rjoub.

CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Erbuğ Çelebi delivered a presentation introducing the university, highlighting in particular the initiatives undertaken in digital transformation, the effective use of artificial intelligence in education and research processes, and internationalization. Emphasizing that collaborations developed with higher education institutions offer significant opportunities for both academic staff and students, Çelebi underlined the importance attached to such partnerships.

Rector of Palestine Polytechnic University, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Abusafa, stated that they work with many academics who graduated from CIU. He noted that Palestine Polytechnic University adopts a community-oriented approach and offers practice-based education programs in close cooperation with regional industries. Abusafa emphasized that the cooperation established with CIU would not remain merely on paper but would produce concrete and effective results in practice.
