CIU Architecture Club Organizes Field Trip

A technical field trip was organized by the Architecture and Interior Architecture Club of Cyprus International University (CIU) to St. Hilarion and Kormacit (Koruçam).

As part of the trip, the group first visited St. Hilarion Castle, where students had the opportunity to examine the historical texture and architectural features of the site firsthand. The group then continued toward the village of Kormacit (Koruçam), stopping along the way to attend the Tepebaşı Tulip Festival and experience the cultural richness of Cyprus.

At the final stop of the program, St. George Church was visited, where interior architectural observations were conducted. Coincidentally encountering a church wedding during the visit provided participants with a unique opportunity to observe Maronite village life and traditional architecture.

The technical trip contributed to reinforcing students’ academic knowledge through on-site experience, while also enhancing their cultural awareness.
